Winner of the British Book Industry Children's Book of the Year 2016 Shortlisted for the Sainsbury's Children's Book Awards 2016 My brother is a superhero, I could have been one too, except I needed a wee...
My Brother is a Superhero is the first title in the award-winning series from David Solomons. Featuring adventure, humour and enough superhero capers to keep any young Marvel fans entertained!
Luke is a comic-mad eleven-year old who shares a treehouse with his geeky older brother, Zack. Luke' s only mistake is to go for a wee right at the wrong time. While he's gone, an alien gives his undeserving, never-read-a-comic-in-his-life brother superpowers and then tells him to save the universe. Luke is massively annoyed about this, but when Zack is kidnapped by his arch-nemesis, Luke and his friends have only five days to find him and save the world...
Books don't come much funnier than these! Packed with heart and soul, this series is perfect for fans of David Baddiel and David Walliams.
"You know a book is going to be good when you re giggling after five minutes... Ideal for comic readers and superhero experts." - The Guardian
"If you had spent most of your 11 years on earth devouring comics and knew all there was to know about superheroes, their powers and arch enemies, wouldn t you be annoyed if your Maths nerd of an older brother was chosen to join their ranks?...David Solomons debut children s book is lip-twitchingly funny and clips along thanks to a super-plot and a cast packed with special (if unusual) powers. Miss it at your peril." - Jane E Sandell, The Scotsman
