Dr. Ilona Boniwell is both an academic psychologist and a practitioner, specialising in Positive Psychology. Ilona founded the European Network for Positive Psychology and organised the first European Congress of Positive Psychology. She has also acted as a consultant to the BBC in their making of The Happiness Formula, and is co-founder of the Practical Psychology website, a social enterprise dedicated to the promotion of well-being and personal development. She is also a regular contributor to Psychologies Magazine and author of Positive Psychology in a Nutshell. Dr. Patricia MacNair, M.B. (Bachelor of Medicine), Ch.B. (Bachelor of Surgery), Dip Anaesthetics, M.A. qualified as a doctor at the University of Bristol Medical School in 1982. She now divides her time between working as a physician specialising in Medicine for the Elderly in Guildford, Surrey, and working as a medical journalist. Patricia has written a number of books including Bodyscope, a series about the human body for children, and The Cancer Tales Workbook, a book on cancer aimed at Health Professionals dealing with the disease. She writes extensively for the British Medical Journal and the BBC health website, and she presents and reports for health programmes on BBC radio. She also has a Master's degree in medical ethics and medical law.
