This has been an enormous labor of love, of great joy, along with immense difficulties. I have had to study, assess, and consider diverse factors in the compilation of this book. The fundamental difficulty of this biography was judging how to keep the narrative flowing well while giving enough background information to better grasp essential cultural contexts that make up the backdrop. The temptation was always to include more available facts and material. Yet, that approach quickly shifted from simplicity, which is needed for readability in this biography. Also, some topics need deeper review and explanations than can be presented here since the primary importance is allowing the story's natural rhythm and tempo. In its final analysis, the work needs to convey and impart to the reader the joy and freshness I've discovered delving into this captivating subject. I believe I struck the correct balance between flow and information. After a rich, enduring love of literature, libraries, and the classics as a child, additionally devouring everything, from Dickens, Tolkien to CS Lewis, I later discovered infinite worlds of endless possibilities within Science Fiction. Yet, two odd books impressed, grounding me; Kings of Kings by Malcolm Saville and Frank Morison's Who Moved the Stone? Both dealt admirably with aspects of Jesus' life. Yet subsequently, finding no substantial biography done with passion was entirely disappointing. So frustrating ultimately, I resolved to write one. I identified two notable factors that shaped this work. One: extensive writings on the subject exist. Two: it is substantially harder to pen with simplicity than writing that in-depth literary thesis. This passionate work offers a straightforward narrative, journeying through Jesus' wondrous life, from His popularity throughout Galilee into the emotional build-up for the ultimate clash in Jerusalem. You may presume you already know the story; think again!
